Meet the Team
Here we are; the Flintastic team caring for your extended family! Whether they have fur, feathers, fins or scales, we're here to help!
Founder
Abbie Plant
Abbie started the business in 2015 under the brand name 'Rugby Woof Pack' after leaving her desk job. A country girl born and bred from Suffolk, being out and about with the dogs was where she liked being best!
Over the years shes learnt so much about dogs and their behaviors, giving her many years of knowledge into the dog training world.
She is also extremely passionate about birds, her biggest hobby being going out with her two patagonian conures which she has free flight trained. Her goal is to help change the standards of care for birds in captivity by helping others around her.
Partner
Carl plant
Carl joined the business in 2019 after leaving his engineering job, helping the business to expand further and finding being with the dogs and outside much more rewarding and enjoyable.
He has a special way with the dogs, being able to handle and manage some of the most challenging characters with ease.
As well as being so amazing with the dogs, he also puts his engineering past to use by building some awesome structures and play equipment for the dogs at the field, making sure they have a super fun place to visit with us!
Product tester & grass roller
flint
Our 'golden boy', and the reason for the business name!
Flint really is fantastic; he regularly comes to the field sessions, especially when we have new dogs starting.
His manner means that he is a dog who creates a calm and controlled atmosphere, where other dogs see him as a leader and tend to be much more relaxed and at ease. He has a way of managing situations that no human can replicate, creating a balance of energy and teaching other dogs their boundaries in a very calm manner.
Wing-man(and woman)
Nimbus & Nori
The two loud fighter jets! These two are not for the faint hearted, their noise is something you could never be prepared for, but they are also the two most incredible birds. Both are free flight trained and regularly carve the skies around their Rugby home with their flight skills.
Both are ambassadors for better bird care in the UK, with the hope to set standards for enclosure size and general welfare for companion pet birds in the future. Nimbus was purchased as a young baby in 2020 and was Abbies first free-flighted bird, whereas Nori was purchased as a rehome in 2022 and was free flight trained in less than a month.
Branch manager
Echo
Echo is a very special girl who left this world in December 2021 at 6 years old after dealing with multiple hereditary issues.

Whilst Echo is no longer with us, the business would never have been built the way it is without her. Abbie started the business after shadowing another local dogwalker whom she met whilst taking Echo to puppy classes, who then pushed her to start up the Rugby Woof Pack.

The field we use today was secured and used almost daily for Echo, who was dog reactive due to her multiple issues, creating a safe space for her to enjoy without being stressed or unintentionally hurt by other dogs.
Echo taught us how to manage and work with reactive dogs, and gave us a love for dogs that will forever live on within the business today.
